Water is an expensive commodity and needs to be used sparingly. So it’s vital to keep a warewasher’s water consumption as low as possible - and the lower the water consumption, the lower the consumption of washing chemicals and energy.
Our machines only use a small amount of fresh water per wash cycle. The washwater is continually recycled, keeping water consumption to a minimum.
Many ingredients (alkalis, silicates, phosphates, etc.) are potentially harmful to the environment – but hygienic dishwashing simply isn’t possible without chemicals.
Our automatic dosing units are designed to deliver the best results using minimal amounts of detergents. We work closely with customers to determine the optimum solution for their dishwashing problems. We minimise the discharge of phosphate into wastewater by using products containing a low percentage of phosphates or, where possible by using phosphate substitutes. We also adjust dosing units, depending on water hardness.
Hygienic cleaning is only possible with hot water, and energy is required to heat the water. Reducing energy consumption doesn’t just protect the environment, it also minimises operating costs.
By using interlocking heating systems we reduce connection ratings. We also offer alternative heating methods: for example, as an option, heating can be carried out using low-pressure steam instead of electrical power. We offer a variety of energy recovery systems such as Exhaust Air Heat Recovery, where energy is removed from the exhaust air and used to preheat incoming cold water.

What can you do? Use detergent and rinse aid from the same manufacturer – this ensures that the products are fully compatible and can be used sparingly and effectively.
Food and drink residue and other waste do not belong in your dishwasher. Rinsing all dishes first ensures the washwater stays cleaner for longer.
Use environmentally friendly detergents such as Biopur. Biopur is an extremely strong detergent, yet is enzymatic- and pH-neutral.
Buy good quality, long lasting kitchen equipment from brand-name manufacturers – cheap products which have to be discarded early are harmful to the environment.
